Why have flowers just on the tables we you can have them hanging from the ceiling too??
Here are few examples of arrangements we have done in different styles at different venues. So fun to get creative!

Elegant and romantic was the vibe, and Jacqui loves an orchid so we made sure to include them too x

What a stunner!!! So many gorgeous photos of these two and their friends and family it was a very hard to pick just a few.
It was a pretty windy, wild morning when I set up the arch, but the wind died down in the afternoon for a Helicopter entrance from Kellie and the all round spectacular back drop that Boomrock offers.
The theme was a bit wild and rambling for the flowers, overall blues and greys and pops of yellow roses as this was Kellie's faves. Judging by all the smiles and fun photos - it looked like a fabulous day for them both.

Thank you thank you thank you for EVERYTHING!!! The flowers for everything, ceremony arch etc was perfect!!! ...And the bouquets and everything were literally amazing, thank you so much - Dushanka

It was a bit windy when we set up the arch on this summery January day....but it calmed down for the ceremony for some beautiful photos of the happy couple at this spectacular location.
From my happy bride "Absolutely loved my Wedding flowers <3 they were exactly what I wanted and more! Thank you so much!"

]]>As a natural red-head these colours worked perfectly for Amelia. The added bonus of summery blooms with the dahlias mixed in with autumn tones is a match made in heaven.

]]>Marcelia is crazy-mad about foliage, and asked to make the bouquets very foliage focused while incorporating just a few seasonal white blooms.
"Just wanted to say a massive thank you for doing the flowers for my wedding - everyone loved them and they were exactly what I wanted!!"

]]>The weather was not so kind for our first October Wedding - but apparently that didn't bother our bride and groom at all. In true Wellington style, they had a sheltered spot all sized up in case of rain. Our bride Emma really loved tulips and wanted to incorporate the reds of the bridesmaids dresses for her floral look.
These gorgeous photos are taken by Maree Wilkinson photography
And our second wedding was all about the reds and burgundy tones too but then Rebekah went for the neutral opposite of white for the bridesmaids to keep it simple with their dresses. And lucky enough for Rebekah we were able to incorporate peonies too! A lot of brides dream of this but with a limited flowering season it is sometimes tricky.

Just dropping by to say THANK YOU! Thank you so much for putting together our bouquets. They were so beautiful. Love the colours and everything!!! - Rebekah

And from Tyne and Dan -

Emily particularly wanted a natural (but not too rustic look), and opted for lots of grasses, toetoe and soft colours throughout. I feel very lucky to be involved in this big wedding and grateful of all the stunning photos shared with me after.

"I LOVED the flowers, they were so perfectly what I wanted. Thank you for your help and suggestions. The colours went beautifully with the setting and dresses, and my nephew loved playing with the lambs ear! "

It took several hours (off and on) with a few helpers here and there, but the end result is quite amazing in the photos. The flower wall included hydrangea, succulents, roses, flax flowers, ivy, hebe....and so much more!

The king protea is really shining through with the other dusky pinks, white, creams and grey tones. Just lovely :-)

When I first arrived, 10 eager faces swarmed around me, the table and the box of flowers and I realised there was no time for chit chat - they were keen for action. Fortunately I had plenty of adult helpers and the girls' happy smiles at the end assured me it was a success. Phew!
So looks like that's an option now for any other eager young things keen to do a floral workshop with their friends - get in touch.
]]>Well, we have had a rough start to Spring but as hardened Wellingtonians we know it will pass. And fingers crossed it will bring another amazing Summer like the last.
A great way to start some spring cheer is get a subscription of fresh flowers delivered to your door!! We choose a seasonal mix fresh from the market for you to enjoy - something different every week. Pick up options available too.
This is also a great gift idea for your mum or your wife - and hey - guys like flowers too!
]]>First up is Hannah - Photos by Fineline Photography
Hannah married in the Wairarapa and embraced the rustic, yet bold nature of these blooms. The blooms in the bouquet gives a country feel while still being formed and elegant to compliment her stunning dress. The flower crown needed to be rustic but not too big and overwhelming - nailed it I reckon - she looks amazing! And in Hannah's words - "THEY WERE THE BEST!!!!!!"
And next we have Adrianne - Photography by Jo Moore
Adrianne and Michael married at the Bresolin in Wellington. They really wanted a very relaxed, no hassle feel to their wedding day. Adrianne choose to skip the traditional white dress and wore this gorgeous colourful number instead.
And last but of course not least Kortney - Photography by Mel Waite
Kortney married Robin at Ohariu Farm on a breezy Wellington day but that didn't stop their smiles! Kortney went for a more traditional lush soft pinks and white bouquet with a hint of rustic to tie in with the country atmosphere. Stunning!
.
Thanks for viewing and thanks to my brides and their photographers for these fab pictures xx

Such a pleasure from start to finish to help Grace and Oliver plan there special day in November 2017.
We started with a consult at the shop and they bought their ideas and we talked through it all together.
I then went to the venue with them so I could help them decide what flowers and arrangements were needed to compliment the venue while keeping with their overall colour scheme.
The result - from Grace:
Thank you so much!!!
I have to say, both Oliver and I had the discussion after the wedding, flowers play an extremely vital element in our wedding and it's worth in many ways!

Such a treat as a florist to be able to go back and look at the gorgeous photos of what we created to help make a bride and groom's special day. This happy couple had two weddings, a traditional Indian wedding earlier in the day and then the second wedding at the Boatshed.
And Alison, our bride, words warm us up too!
- We absolutely loved our beautiful flowers, they were absolutely perfect and just what we wanted. So thank you!
Photography by Candycapco - beautiful as always!
]]>Just a few gorgeous photos from a very happy couple!!! Katherine and Gerard were married at the Dowse Art Museum in Lower Hutt then partied on at the Speights Ale House in Petone's private room. We not only did the flowers but also added sashes, candles, fairy lights as an extra service. Gotta love this kind of feedback!
- Photos Catherine Cattanach Photography
"Karen, you are AMAZING!!!! The flowers, the lights, the sashes, we loved it all!
You completely transformed the Speights Ale House beyond expectations – thank you so very much for making our day even more special and memorable. What’s more, you made it so easy and stress free for us.
A big thank you from both of us!
Katherine and Gerard"

One of my biggest thrills is getting emailed (or uploaded to facebook!) the professional photos - no matter how well I manage to capture the bouquets in the shop before they leave they never look as good as when the bride is holding them!!!!
Here is just one of my favourite photos (captured by Max Behle) and the awesome feedback from one of the first brides of the season
"Thanks again for your amazing work and capturing the essence of what I was dreaming of - you got it spot on! :-) - Jo
]]>So far we have been doing flowers for home ideas, table arrangements and tall arrangements. Next up is some themed ones, Easter and maybe a Mid-Winter workshop too.
We have lots of people coming along with a friend, as it is a great way to hang out and catch up and spend time together. We have had a few mother and daughter combos too, which is a lovely idea.
If people have a wee group of their own too, we are more than happy to accommodate and fit in with a time that suits you all.
Look forward to you coming along!!

]]>But in saying that as a small business owner I don't think there is every really a very calm spot. Always admin to do, websites to update, invoices to bill, and facebook posts to add.... But amongst all that I am fortunate enough to be doing what I love, lots of wedding flowers this season, meeting lots of lovely new customers in our new shop and teaching what I know (which isn't that much really!!) in our flower arranging classes.
Let's get this year started!!!
